In SAS Marketing Optimization, when you use a filter in your communication, the offer summary might show [blank] for this value even though the data is there.
This problem is caused by having multiple embedded blanks within character attribute values in the communication or customer tables. For example, if you have an attribute such as Product A, this will be displayed correctly. However, if you have Product A with multiple blanks, this will be displayed as [Blank], which is incorrect.
This problem is noticed within the reports, but it also surfaces when you create the batch tables for the scenario. The communication table that is built from the data store has missing values for this attribute for all items such as constraints or contact policies. It will not be applied correctly and these items will get incorrect optimization results with no warning or indication that the results are incorrect.
To work around this issue, remove the multiple blanks in your attribute fields.
